Program Specific Outcome	Develop an understanding of major and minor forms of literature; literary theories, terms and concepts in criticism. Develop language learning skills- listening, speaking, reading and writing. Develop verbal and non-verbal skills of communication. Eligible to pursue courses such as B.Ed, M.A., M.S.W. etc. Eligible to get jobs in industries, schools and government offices; social media manger, editors and content manager, journalism, social worker, writer, etc.

History of English Literature	To familiarize the students with the different trends and movement of English literature which will help them in the proper understanding of the texts prescribed. To enable students to develop critical sense.
Program Specific Outcome	To introduce the learners to English poets and poetry from Elizabethan to the Augustans by exposing them to the variety of forms and themes.
English Poetry from the Elizabethan to the Augustan Age	To familiarize the students with the different trends and movement of English literature which will help them in the proper understanding of the texts prescribed. To enable students to develop critical sense.
Reading Drama	To ensure a firm command in English Literature skills To ensure adequate knowledge of social, historical, and cultural background of the plays. To enable the students to relate the study of the texts to a wider cultural context.
Reading Fiction and Non-Fiction	To familiarize novel as a dominant genre in the 18th, late 19th century and with new experiments in modern times. To facilitate an in-depth study of some representative literary texts of the period. To acquaint students with social, historical and cultural ramifications of the period under study and to enable the students to relate the study of the texts to those wider cultural contexts. To acquaint the students with emergence of the essay as an art form in the 17th century and its growth in the romantic period.
Poetry from the Romantic to the Modern age	To give the students a general order of acquaintance of English Poetic tradition from the Age of Romanticism to the Modern Age. To make them appreciate the characteristics of Romantic, Victorian poetry and Modern Poetry
Literary Criticism	To acquaint the students with the running critical tradition in Anglo-American criticism To enable students to apply the critical canons to appreciation of literary texts.
Indian Writing in English	To introduce the learner to the rich tradition of Indian writing in English in different ages. To acquaint them with the various influence in different ages of Indian Writing in English.
Linguistics	To acquaint the students with the basic knowledge of linguistics. To acquaint the students with the goals and scope of linguistics, socio-linguistics, phonetics, morphology and syntax.

B.A. Political Science
Program Outcome	The Political Science B.A. program was born out of recognition of the increasing significance of cross disciplinary studies in the social science. The Political science degrees furnish the students with a unique multi-disciplinary approach in the social science and prepare them for future academic study and/or for careers in the public and the private sector.

B.A in Sociology

Rural Sociology	Rural communities being established structures of social organization around which the individual in Indian society establishes his social relations, the under-graduate students are expected to have specific understanding of the rural community in sociological perspectives. Further, in the context of growing significance of development, various rural development programs, local self-government and the visible changes in rural sector, the undergraduate students are expected to have a basic knowledge of rural community through this paper
Urban Sociology\Social Change	The objective of this paper is to sensitize the students to understand urban dimensions of society, its social structure and social process and to appreciate and diagnose emerging urban issues in India. This paper highlights the various aspects relating to social change in India in terms of theoretical and empirical perspectives.
Tribal society in India	This paper will help understand the various aspects of tribal society in relation to its structure and change. Students will also be oriented to the knowledge of some emerging issues in tribal society like socio-economic movements, gender disparity and approaches to tribal development.
Sociology of North-East India	The purpose of the paper is to expose the students to the value issues related to North-East region. It is expected that the paper will provide the students basic idea related to different socio-economic institutions of this region.
Sociology of Development	The main objective of this paper is to make the students understand the concept of development in sociological perspective and to appreciate development as an integrated process.
Contemporary Sociological Theory	The aim of this paper is to familiarize students with the contemporary sociological thinkers who contribute their critical understanding and give their new dimensions look at sociological reality.
Sociology of Health	The aim of this paper is to provide the basic knowledge to students on the concept of health and its different aspects. It critically analyzes various sociological dimensions of health in contemporary society. Further it focuses on different health policies and programs initiated by government for the elimination of health constraints from our society.

B.A. in History
Program Outcome	The study involves not only knowledge about historical events but also an understanding of the causes and processes involved in the growth and development of culture overtime, an appreciation of and respect for many varieties of historical experience across cultures. A major in history helps them to become thoughtful and effective citizens of an increasingly interconnected world

Program Outcome	The Geography program seeks to develop students who can identify, describe, analyze and solve the complex interactions that exist between humans and natural worlds.
Program Specific Outcome	Students will read, interpret and generate maps and other geographic representations as well as extract, analyze and present information from a spatial perspective. Students will be able to think in spatial terms to explain what has occurred in the past as well as using geographic principles to understand the present plans for the future.
