B.A. English Literature
Program Outcome Developing intellectual, personal, professional abilities through effective communicative skills; ensuring high standard of behavioral attitude through literary subjects and shaping the students to be socially responsible citizens.
Program Specific Outcome
  • Develop an understanding of major and minor forms of literature; literary theories, terms and concepts in criticism.
  • Develop language learning skills- listening, speaking, reading and writing.
  • Develop verbal and non-verbal skills of communication.
  • Eligible to pursue courses such as B.Ed, M.A., M.S.W. etc.
  • Eligible to get jobs in industries, schools and government offices; social media manger, editors and content manager, journalism, social worker, writer, etc.

History of English Literature
  • To familiarize the students with the different trends and movement of English literature which will help them in the proper understanding of the texts prescribed.
  • To enable students to develop critical sense.
Program Specific Outcome
  • To introduce the learners to English poets and poetry from Elizabethan to the Augustans by exposing them to the variety of forms and themes.
English Poetry from the Elizabethan to the Augustan Age
  • To familiarize the students with the different trends and movement of English literature which will help them in the proper understanding of the texts prescribed.

Reading Drama
  • To ensure a firm command in English Literature skills
  • To ensure adequate knowledge of social, historical, and cultural background of the plays.

B.A. Political Science
Program Outcome The Political Science B.A. program was born out of recognition of the increasing significance of cross disciplinary studies in the social science. The Political science degrees furnish the students with a unique multi-disciplinary approach in the social science and prepare them for future academic study and/or for careers in the public and the private sector.

  • Rural communities being established structures of social organization around which the individual in Indian society establishes his social relations, the under-graduate students are expected to have specific understanding of the rural community in sociological perspectives.   • The objective of this paper is to sensitize the students to understand urban dimensions of society, its social structure and social process and to appreciate and diagnose emerging urban issues in India.
  • This paper highlights the various aspects relating to social change in India in terms of theoretical and empirical perspectives.
Tribal society in India
  • This paper will help understand the various aspects of tribal society in relation to its structure and change. Students will also be oriented to the knowledge of some emerging issues in tribal society like socio-economic movements, gender disparity and approaches to tribal development.
Sociology of North-East India
  • The purpose of the paper is to expose the students to the value issues related to North-East region. It is expected that the paper will provide the students basic idea related to different socio-economic institutions of this region.

  • The main objective of this paper is to make the students understand the concept of development in sociological perspective and to appreciate development as an integrated process.
Contemporary Sociological Theory
  • The aim of this paper is to familiarize students with the contemporary sociological thinkers who contribute their critical understanding and give their new dimensions look at sociological reality.
Sociology of Health
  • The aim of this paper is to provide the basic knowledge to students on the concept of health and its different aspects. It critically analyzes various sociological dimensions of health in contemporary society. Further it focuses on different health policies and programs initiated by government for the elimination of health constraints from our society.
